I began learning Go at the age of 5 and became a professional player in 2007. I won the Female Kisei Cup and a Gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games, and was promoted to 3-dan. In 2014, I reached the top 32 of the Samsung Cup and became a 4-dan, followed by winning the Huang Longshi Cup with the Women's Team in 2017. That same year, I moved to Montreal, Canada.

In 2019, I was promoted to 8-dan by the KBA.

In 2021, I returned to Korea, joining tournaments while raising my first son. I continued teaching, and in 2022, I was runner-up in the 2nd Nanseolhun Cup, reached the semifinals of the Haesung Female Kisung Cup, and led my team to victory in the Korean Women's Baduk League.

In 2023, I ranked 6th among Korean female pros and welcomed my second child, a daughter.

In July 2024, I returned to Canada with my two children and continue to teach Go to students of all levels.
